Current Work

Jim Coleman is Professor of Language Learning and Teaching at the Open University. His main research focus is university language teaching and learning, embracing policy and practice, institutional contexts, pedagogy, applications of technology, skills and employability, language testing, autonomy, intercultural competence, individual variation (motivation, attitudes and anxiety) and especially study/residence abroad. He has also published on French literature and culture, and will be an RAE European Studies panel member for the second time in 2008.
